American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with 1+ year of experience in LTC or SNF settings for a 13-week travel contract in Purcell, OK.
Details- Long-term care (LTC) / skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting
- Day shift, 8 hours per day
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Active Oklahoma OT license required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of OT experience required
- LTC or SNF setting experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- 1 professional reference required for consideration
- New graduates with Level II fieldwork experience will be considered
- Perform screenings and evaluations for patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders and develop individualized plans of care
- Administer rehabilitative interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of assistive/supportive devices
- Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to guide clinical interventions
- Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and document all required information in the electronic documentation system
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers
- Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries per regulatory and clinical requirements
- Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
- Supervise and support occupational therapist assistants, rehab aides, and/or students as needed
- Adhere to NBCOT and Oklahoma state practice acts, code of conduct, and professional ethics
- No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested
