Job Description
When your shift starts, you’ll roll up to a bay where a bucket truck needs a safety inspection. After verifying hydraulics and DOT items, you’ll plug into Cummins Insite to chase down a drivability code on a medium-duty chassis. By midday, you’re swapping out a worn harness on a digger derrick and confirming LMI/LML readings. Before you clock out, you’ll close out a repair order for a rental unit and advise a customer on preventive maintenance—another productive day supporting the fleets that power utility, telecom, rail, and construction work across the country.

What you’ll do- Diagnose, repair, and maintain aerial, construction, and light/heavy-duty truck equipment.
- Perform inspections, troubleshooting, parts replacement, and repairs on rental, customer, and company units.

Core work areas Truck & chassis- Medium/heavy-duty trucks, diesel engines, OEM platforms.
- Use diagnostic tools such as Cummins Insite, Detroit, Snap-On, etc.
- Perform DOT inspections.
- Aerial/bucket trucks, boom trucks, digger derricks.
- LMI/LML systems and dielectric testing.
- Find leaks, repair cylinders, and read schematics.
- Troubleshoot pumps, booms, outriggers, and PTO systems.
- Diagnose faults in power, ground, and CAN systems.
- Read diagrams, use meters, and repair batteries, harnesses, ECM/TCM, etc.
- All experience levels: Journeyman Techs, Vo-Tech grads, Veterans, and mechanics from construction, ag, or truck backgrounds.
- People with a solid mechanical base and a willingness to learn.
- High school trades, Vo-Tech, or diesel programs.
- Military wheeled/track mechanic experience.
- On-the-job training or hands-on mechanical work.
