Primary responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for drafting and generating a range of legal documents, such as standard engagement letters, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), Master Service Agreements (MSAs), as well as Statements of Work (SOW) and Scopes of Work (SOW) when required.
  • Work closely with internal and outside legal counsel on various legal matters, including contract changes, debt collection, bankruptcy issues, and responses to subpoenas.
  • Follow up on in-flight contract drafts as needed with leads/prospective clients to bring closure and expedite contract execution to the extent possible
  • Maintain a tracker of contracts drafted, contracts executed, terminations, etc.. to distribute to the partners on a regular cadence for transparency purposes.
  • Support the COO and CFO on preparing and responding to requests for information from regulatory bodies such as FINRA.
  • Serve as the central custodian for incoming information, ensuring its proper entry into firm’s CRM and facilitate its distribution to relevant parties as needed.
  • Serve as key contact for client and CRM related incoming inquiries 
  • Provide a variety of project management, administrative and operational support for the Legal & Finance teams’ daily operations.

Candidates should possess the following skills and key competencies:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program
  • 5+ years of experience as a paralegal, ideally in the securities litigation department of a large firm
  • Exceptional communication, attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work on projects requiring a high level of discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while effectively managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong project management and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Experience with NetSuite and Microsoft Office
  • Flexibility to work additional hours as needed
  • A willingness to take on new tasks and develop new skills

This role operates from our San Francisco office and provides opportunities for remote work on a periodic basis.
