Overview
Speech Language Pathologist – Acute Care, Pittsfield, Massachusetts. This is a travel, temporary assignment in a home health care - hospice setting. The start date is 07/20/2026, and the assignment runs for 13 weeks with guaranteed 40 hours per week. The position is a day shift (40 hours) with a weekly pay range of $2,583–$2,692.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct speech-language pathology services to home-based clients, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans in collaboration with the interprofessional team and patient family.
- Deliver therapy to improve communication, swallowing, and cognitive-communication goals; select appropriate treatment modalities and devices as needed.
- Educate patients and caregivers on communication strategies, safety, and use of assistive technologies or AAC devices; document progress and provide caregiver training.
- Document clinical findings, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the patient record; maintain timely and accurate reporting.
- Travel to patient homes using personal vehicle; ensure safety, equipment management, and adherence to infection control and licensure requirements.

Requirements
- MA Speech-Language Pathologist license (active) [required]
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology [required]
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) [required]
- Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification [required]
- Minimum 2 years of speech-language pathology experience in home care/home health care; acute care experience preferred
- Valid Massachusetts driver license and access to a personal vehicle; ability to travel to patient homes
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a home-based setting
