Combo Ship Welder/Fitter

CDR General Services LLC is seeking a skilled and dependable Combo Ship Welder/Fitter to join our team in Charleston, MO. This position is ideal for a safety-conscious, detail-oriented individual with welding and fitting experience who can work efficiently in a fast-paced industrial environment. The ideal candidate is motivated, reliable, and committed to producing high-quality work while maintaining safety and productivity standards.

Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Job Location: Charleston, Missouri
Pay Rate: $31.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Sunday

• Perform welding and fitting duties according to project specifications and quality standards
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication plans
• Measure, cut, fit, and assemble metal components for welding
• Operate welding equipment and related fabrication tools safely and efficiently
• Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with specifications and quality requirements
• Perform grinding, cleaning, and finishing work as needed
• Verify dimensions and ensure proper fit-up of components prior to welding
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and deadlines
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Must be 18 years or older
• Previous Combo Welder/Fitter experience required
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques, fitting procedures, and safety practices
• Ability to use measuring tools and fabrication equipment accurately
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial environment
• Reliable transportation required
• Strong commitment to safety, attendance, and productivity
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
