Producer Class A Driver

Overview:

We are seeking a talented Producer/Class A Driver to join our team. This role will be responsible for transporting equipment and trailers to event locations in multiple local cities and states, managing entire set-ups at events with support from assigned staff, and collaborating closely with the Account Manager to ensure seamless execution of event logistics and setup. Additionally, the Driver will assist in warehouse operations, including vehicle maintenance and care, and other necessary tasks when not assigned to events.

Responsibilities:

• The driver will assist in the warehouse performing various duties, including inventory, item allocations, vehicle maintenance, care, and other needed tasks.
• Perform pre-trip inspections, check on all units driven to identify and repair minor faults, and report major mechanical breakdowns to a skilled mechanic.
• Maintain all vehicle trip, fuel, and IFTA logs as DOT requires.
• Maintain a logbook to record miles covered and hours traveled and ensure all necessary documentation with freight is filled in and submitted.
• Transport equipment and trailers to event locations in various cities and states, ensuring timely arrival and setup.
• Manage and execute start-to-end logistics for the operation of the event vehicle, including, but not limited to, driving, vehicle staging, and set-up/tear-down.
• Manage display vehicle transportation and provide on-site operational support.
• Provide Set-up/tear-down support and guidance.
• Meet customer service expectations in communication, problem resolution, and appropriate follow-through.
• Report any delays that may affect the timely delivery of freight to the account manager and client.
• Report any accident incurred while transporting the freight to the account manager immediately.
• Ensures that events progress seamlessly by following established procedures, collaborating with Jr. Producers, and account Managers, and ensuring accuracy.
• Partner with Account Managers and Directors to align on best practices and schedules for overarching deliverables, timelines, and assets.
• Adheres to all standards, policies, and procedures.
• The position may include other duties as determined by the company.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a Class A License, maintain DOT requirements of license, and maintain a clean driving record.
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Must submit to Federal Pull Notices.
• Ability to operate hand trucks/Pallet jacks.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues.
• In-depth Knowledge of routes within the region is very important as the driver is expected plan trips and chart shorter routes before embarking on any journey to shorten delivery time.
• Expansive knowledge of road signs and safety procedures is expected of the driver.
• Must reside in the regional proximity to Long Beach Warehouse.
• Ability to work beyond a 40-hours work week when needed.
• Ability to travel and be OTR up to 3 weeks (based on event schedules)
• Availability to Travel and have Flexible schedule.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, crawl, climb, reach overhead, crouch, kneel, balance, push, pull and safely lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to sit for extensive periods of time when driving.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in fluctuating temperatures.
• Ability to work under adverse situations and conditions (e.g., dirty, noisy, etc.).
• Ability to work safely at heights including the use of ladders, scaffolds, and other related equipment.
