Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasound imaging procedures with accuracy adhering to safety standards.

  • Maintain strict adherence to department workflows and productivity targets.

  • Prepare patients, explain procedures, and obtain informed consent where required.

  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal image quality.

  • Track and report performance metrics, including volume, turnaround times, and accuracy.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, privacy, and safety standards.

  • Document findings and deliver preliminary reports to interpreting physicians.

  • Demonstrate a growth mindset by pursuing ongoing professional development.

  • Assist with routine quality assurance checks and participate in process improvements.

  • Proactively communicate with staff to escalate urgent findings and coordinate patient care.

  • Collaborate with a larger team to coordinate patient scheduling and throughput.

  • Support onboarding and training of new team members as needed.


Experience/Qualifications

  • Certified ultrasound technologist with current state licensure and ARDMS or equivalent.

  • Proven ability to perform ultrasound imaging with high image quality and safety compliance.

  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining ultrasound equipment and QA checks.

  • Adherence to regulatory, privacy, and safety standards (HIPAA/compliance).

  • Experience with patient preparation, consent, and clear procedure explanations.

  • Strong documentation skills; timely delivery of preliminary reports to physicians.

  • Track and report performance metrics (volume, turnaround, accuracy) monthly.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth mindset.

  • Team collaboration skills; assist with onboarding and cross-training.

  • On-site availability; reliability to meet productivity targets and scheduling needs.
