Dakotaland Manufacturing is growing, and we're looking for skilled and motivated Welders to join our team in Watertown, South Dakota. Schedule OptionsDay Shift
- Monday – Thursday: 6:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Friday: 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Night Shift
- Monday – Thursday: 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM
- 12.5% Shift Differential
$20.00 – $32.00 per hour
Based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
As a Welder, you'll play a key role in producing high-quality fabricated products while working alongside an experienced team dedicated to safety, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities include:
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and shop drawings.
- Perform GMAW (MIG) welding on a variety of components and assemblies.
- Weld in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions.
- Set up and operate welding equipment to achieve quality welds.
- Position, align, and clamp parts using fixtures and jigs.
- Tack weld assemblies and complete production welds.
- Inspect welds for quality, appearance, and defects.
- Repair cracked or damaged components when required.
- Clean welds and remove weld spatter.
- Perform daily equipment inspections and basic operator maintenance.
- Move materials and finished products throughout the work area.
- Follow all safety, quality, and production standards.
- Welding diploma, technical training, or equivalent experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
- Ability to read a tape measure and calipers accurately.
- Basic shop math skills, including decimal and fraction conversions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.

This position requires standing for extended periods, frequent bending, kneeling, reaching, and lifting materials up to 50 pounds. Team lifting devices and hoists are available for heavier components. Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to welding fumes, noise, heat, and other industrial conditions.
