Bengal Transportation Services is looking for professional Class A CDL Heavy Haul Drivers who want more than just another driving job - drivers who are looking for stability, respect, and a long-term place to build their career.

You will support industrial, petrochemical, crane, construction, and heavy transport projects throughout Louisiana and the Gulf South while gaining hands-on experience with specialized transportation, multi-axle trailer operations, oversized load requirements, customer site procedures, and industry-leading safety practices.

What You'll Be DoingSafely operate heavy-spec trucks and specialized trailer combinations
Transport equipment, materials, crane components, and oversized loads safely and legally
Operate flatbeds, step decks, lowboys, RGNs, multi-axle trailers, and other specialized transport equipment as assigned
Read and follow permits, approved routes, escort requirements, and customer delivery instructions
Properly load, inspect, and secure freight before transport
Reconcile bills of lading, delivery paperwork, load details, and required documentation
Understand axle weight distribution and work with dispatch, supervision, and operations to adjust loads as needed
Deliver equipment and materials to industrial, petrochemical, construction, crane, and customer job sites
Assist with loading and unloading cranes, components, equipment, and materials as needed
Perform required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
Maintain logs, inspection records, fuel receipts, delivery paperwork, and other required documentation
Check truck and trailer equipment to ensure roadworthiness, including tires, lights, brakes, fluids, securement devices, and safety equipment
Report needed repairs, maintenance concerns, defects, or safety issues promptly
Work closely with dispatch, operations, supervision, and customer site contacts
Maintain DOT, FMCSA, company, and customer safety compliance
Participate in company safety procedures, programs, meetings, and job-site orientations
Represent Bengal professionally on customer job sites
Perform other duties as assigned
Weekly pay via direct deposit

Valid Class A CDL
Current DOT Medical Card
Acceptable MVR and company-approved driving record
TWIC Card
Ability to pass a road test
Ability to pass DOT drug screen, background check, and fit-for-duty requirements
Safe driving history
Strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and compliance
Ability to read and follow permits, route instructions, bills of lading, delivery tickets, and customer site requirements
Ability to complete logs, inspection reports, receipts, and basic written documentation accurately
Ability to work safely around heavy equipment, cranes, trailers, and active job-site environments
Ability to work as part of a professional, safety-focused team
Heavy haul or multi-axle experience
Industrial or petrochemical job-site experience
Flatbed, step deck, lowboy, RGN, steerable trailer, or specialized trailer experience
Oversized or permitted load experience
Crane component or equipment hauling experience
Doubles/Triples endorsement preferred
OSHA training preferred
Security Passport or safety council training preferred
Experience operating in high-traffic areas, tight yards, congested customer sites, or active industrial facilities
Basic computer, mobile device, or electronic logging/device skills
Must be able to safely climb in and out of commercial vehicles and trailers
Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, and work around equipment and moving parts
Must be able to handle securement equipment such as chains, binders, straps, tarps, and related tools
Must be able to work outdoors in varying conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, dust, noise, and fumes
Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Must have the vision, coordination, and awareness needed to safely operate commercial vehicles, follow route requirements, and secure loads
This position works primarily in outdoor, yard, road, industrial, construction, crane, and customer job-site environments. Conditions may include temperature changes, elevated noise levels, dust, fumes, uneven surfaces, moving mechanical parts, active equipment, and heavy vehicle traffic.
