Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Per Diem Contract

Schedule: Per Diem / Block Scheduling Available
Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Monday–Friday)
Pay Rate: $40/hr

The Respiratory Therapist provides respiratory care services to patients in a rehabilitation hospital setting. Responsibilities include assessing respiratory status, administering oxygen therapy, managing ventilators (if applicable), performing breathing treatments, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary rehab team to support patient recovery.

• Active Respiratory Therapist (RT) license in Illinois (Required)

• Experience in acute care, rehab, or hospital-based respiratory therapy

• Ability to manage oxygen therapy and respiratory treatments

• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills

• Comfortable working daytime inpatient rehab schedule

• Active RRT or CRT credential (as applicable by state/facility policy)

• BLS Certification (Required)

• ACLS preferred depending on patient acuity

• Illinois state RT license (Required)

• Inpatient Rehabilitation Hospital

• Part of Encompass Health system

• Interdisciplinary rehab environment (PT, OT, Speech, RT)

• Day shift staffing model (Mon–Fri schedule)

• Block scheduling available
