Job Title: Radiology / Cardiology / Interventional Radiology Technologist

Location: Greenville, South Carolina
Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist to support a busy procedural imaging department within an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in Interventional Radiology and Special Procedures, strong technical skills, and the ability to provide exceptional patient care during minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians during interventional radiology and special procedures.
  • Prepare patients, equipment, and procedure rooms for examinations and interventions.
  • Operate radiographic and fluoroscopic imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Monitor patient condition during procedures and assist with patient care needs.
  • Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection prevention standards.
  • Administer and document procedural activities according to departmental policies.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure accurate documentation within the electronic medical record system.
  • Follow radiation safety guidelines and quality assurance standards.
  • Float to qualified departments and campuses as needed based on operational requirements.
Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology or Special Procedures experience required.
  • Experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
  • First-time travelers considered based on relevant experience.
Certifications & Licensure
  • Active South Carolina License required.
  • ARRT (R) Certification required.
  • BLS Certification required.
  • ACLS Certification required.
Technical Skills
  • Interventional Radiology procedures.
  • Special Procedures experience.
  • EPIC EMR experience (minimum 1 year required).
  • Experience working with procedural imaging equipment and fluoroscopy systems.
  • Knowledge of sterile technique and procedural workflows.
Preferred Qualities
  • Strong procedural and patient care skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to adapt to changing departmental needs.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
