Location: Victoria, Texas
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)
Pay Rate: $45.00 - $53.00/hour (Based on Experience)
Shift: Variable Days
Schedule: 8-Hour Shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours Weekly
Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation
We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation services for patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical assessment skills and a collaborative approach to delivering individualized therapy plans that improve patient independence and quality of life.
Required Qualifications• Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) License in Texas or eligibility for licensure.
• Experience evaluating and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
• Knowledge of functional assessments, including self-care and mobility-related GG items.
• Strong documentation and patient education skills.
• Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications• CCC-SLP Certification preferred.
• Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates will be considered.
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Epic Electronic Medical Record experience strongly preferred.
Responsibilities• Evaluate and treat patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on patient needs.
• Perform functional assessments, including GG self-care and mobility measures.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nurses, and multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams.
• Educate patients and caregivers on treatment strategies and recovery plans.
• Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care initiatives.
