Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Lead Ironworker to support field and shop operations by leading a small crew while actively performing ironworking and welding tasks. This role is ideal for individuals who demonstrate strong technical expertise, leadership qualities, and the ability to mentor others, while working under the oversight of a Foreman.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate the daily work of a small crew under Foreman direction
Perform complex ironworking and advanced welding tasks
Interpret complex drawings, blueprints, and erection plans
Ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently
Monitor productivity and ensure crew members use time effectively
Set a strong example in work ethic, quality, safety, and professionalism
Mentor, train, and teach less experienced employees
Work independently when required while maintaining accountability
Communicate clearly with Foreman, supervisors, and crew members
Follow all company policies, including the code of ethics and employee handbook

Technical Skills & Qualifications
Meets all qualifications of Ironworker I, II, and III
Ability to interpret complex drawings and erection plans
Passed 3G & 4G welder qualification (stick & wire), or demonstrated expertise in rail and miscellaneous welding/finishing
Advanced knowledge of AWS standard practices
Demonstrated leadership ability in a field or shop environment
Ability to lead a small crew with oversight from a Foreman
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
