CVOR CST Tech

A hospital in Winchester, Virginia is seeking a CVOR CST Tech to join its cardiovascular operating room team. This is an on-site clinical position supporting complex cardiovascular surgical procedures.

The CST Tech supports cardiovascular surgical procedures in the operating room, including open-heart and vascular cases. Core responsibilities include scrubbing in on procedures, anticipating surgeon needs throughout each case, and maintaining sterile field integrity during complex cardiac surgeries. This role demands precision, focus, and a thorough understanding of cardiovascular surgical instrumentation and workflow.

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub in on cardiovascular surgical procedures, including open-heart and vascular cases
• Anticipate surgeon needs and provide timely instrumentation throughout each procedure
• Maintain sterile field integrity during complex cardiac surgeries
• Prepare surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies prior to each case
• Assist with patient positioning and procedural setup in the cardiovascular OR
• Follow established safety protocols and infection control standards at all times
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the broader surgical team to ensure smooth case flow
• Ensure proper care and handling of surgical instruments and specialty equipment

Qualifications

• Certification as a Surgical Technologist required
• Cardiovascular operating room experience required

Benefits

• $15,000 sign-on bonus
• Relocation assistance: $5,000 for distances of 50 to 300 miles, $7,500 for distances over 300 miles
• Shift differentials available: $2.75 evening, $3.25 nights, $2.50 weekend day, $4.00 weekend evening, $4.50 weekend night
