Loan Officer

Description:

You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and approving loan applications for consumer and commercial applicants. You will be responsible for generating quality loan growth, maintaining strong customer relationships, mitigating credit risk, and ensuring the bank’s lending activities are conducted safely, soundly and in compliance with established policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Meet with loan applicants to assess financing needs and evaluate eligibility for consumer and commercial applicants.

• Originate, document, and process loan requests from application through closing in compliance with bank policies, underwriting standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Perform periodic site visits and construction inspections to verify collateral, monitor loan conditions, and maintain strong, ongoing relationships.

• Stay current on regulatory and compliance requirements, proactively identifying and managing existing and emerging risks associated with lending activities.

• Conduct comprehensive credit and risk analyses to assess borrowers’ repayment capacity, using financial statements, cash flow analysis, industry trends, and market conditions.

• Evaluate collaterals such as real estate, equipment, and other assets to determine value and ensure adequate loan security.

• Collaborate closely with the bank’s credit department to ensure loan requests meet internal underwriting guidelines and regulatory standards.

• Prepare detailed loan presentations, credit memorandums, and financial analyses for management and board approval.
