West Liberty Foods is seeking experienced CDL-A drivers to join our Live Haul team based in West Liberty, Iowa. This local driving opportunity offers excellent earning potential, daily home time, and a stable schedule with a well-established company.

Compensation

• Average Annual Earnings: $77,600 - $97,000
• CPM Pay: $0.64 - $0.70 per mile
• Average Weekly Miles: 1,590
• Holiday Pay Available Immediately – No Waiting Period

Schedule & Home Time

• Home Daily
• Schedule: Sunday through Thursday
• Opportunity to work a sixth day on Friday when available (not typically required)
• Summer start times generally between 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM
• Cooler months start times generally between 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
• Start times may vary based on freight volume and route needs
• Average shift length varies depending on available routes

Job Details

Drivers will operate within a 280-mile radius of West Liberty, IA, hauling live turkey loads from farms to processing facilities.

Driver Responsibilities

• Pick up live-haul trailers from farms located between 5 and 280 miles from the processing plant
• Return loaded trailers to the processing facility for unloading
• Follow all live-haul safety procedures and company policies
• Run occasional off-account loads at nearby accounts as needed

What Makes This Job Unique

• Drivers are not responsible for loading or unloading
• Drivers typically remain in the tractor while farm personnel load and secure the trailer
• Upon returning to the processing plant, drivers simply check in and receive directions for trailer drop-off
• Most drivers average one load per day, with additional loads possible on shorter local routes
• Dedicated support from four on-site managers available 24/7
