Job Description
Tensley Consulting is seeking a Configuration Manager Level 3 to support configuration management activities for developmental and operational systems. This role is responsible for maintaining system configuration baselines and ensuring proper version control across development, test, and production environments. The Configuration Manager will work with engineering and operational teams to implement configuration management policies, maintain system documentation, and support change control processes. This role also supports system build, staging, testing, and integration activities while ensuring configuration standards are followed throughout the system lifecycle.
Education / Experience
Eight (8) years of experience as a Configuration Manager supporting programs of similar scope and complexity is required.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline from an accredited college or university. A Master’s degree may substitute for two (2) years of experience. Four (4) additional years of CM experience may substitute for a bachelor’s degree
Salary: $120,000-$140,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position, but is not guaranteed. Salary is based on experience, location and contractual requirements which could fall outside of the range listed.
, Required Skills- Five (5) years of demonstrated experience supporting Information Assurance (IA) configuration management requirements, including CM aspects of physical and virtual access controls, labeling, and maintenance procedures as defined in System Security Plans (SSP) and related security documentation.
- Experience supporting configuration management (CM) for developmental and operational systems
Experience maintaining configuration baselines across development, test, and production environments
Experience implementing hardware and software version control processes
Experience using configuration management tools (e.g., DOORS, Eclipse, or similar tools)
Experience supporting system build, staging, testing, and integration environments
Experience supporting change control processes and configuration audits
Experience developing or maintaining configuration management policies and procedures
- Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) programs
- Experience supporting large enterprise or mission systems
- Familiarity with System Security Plans (SSP) and related security documentation
- Experience working with source code control systems
