Job Description
Project Manager – Healthcare Construction
Location: Weatherford, TX
Compensation: Competitive Base Salary + Bonus + Benefits
Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex healthcare construction projects ranging from $10M to $100M+.
This is not a general commercial construction role. The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing hospital and acute-care healthcare projects, understands the unique regulatory environment of healthcare construction, and has successfully delivered projects in occupied medical environments.
What You'll Do
Preconstruction & Planning
- Participate in budgeting, estimating, value engineering, and procurement planning.
- Review plans, specifications, and contract documents for constructability.
- Develop project schedules, milestones, and execution strategies.
- Coordinate permitting and regulatory approvals.
Project Leadership
- Manage multiple healthcare construction projects simultaneously.
- Lead coordination efforts with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Maintain project budgets, forecasts, and profitability.
- Review change orders, pay applications, and subcontractor invoices.
Scheduling & Coordination
- Develop and maintain master schedules.
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and internal teams.
- Identify schedule risks and implement recovery plans.
- Track procurement of critical and long-lead equipment.
Client Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for healthcare owners and project stakeholders.
- Conduct owner meetings and provide regular project updates.
- Build long-term client relationships that drive repeat business.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with healthcare construction standards and project specifications.
- Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and turnover activities.
- Manage ICRA and ILSM requirements when applicable.
- Promote and enforce OSHA and company safety standards.
Required Experience
- 7–10+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
- 5+ years managing acute-care healthcare construction projects.
- Experience with projects such as:
- Operating Rooms (OR)
- Surgical Suites
- Emergency Departments (ED)
- PACU and Recovery Areas
- ICU Projects
- Imaging Departments (MRI, CT, X-Ray)
- Sterile Processing Departments (SPD)
- Medical Gas Systems
- Hospital MEP Infrastructure
