Job Description
JOB TITLE Team Leader, Life Skills Program
FSLA STATUS Full-time, Exempt
Must be available to work/manage evening and weekend hours and
on-call.
REPORTS TO Manager, Shelter Services
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The Team Leader, Shelter Services is responsible to assist the Director of
Residential Services in developing, implementing and monitoring a safe, healthy,
outcome-focused Life Skills team for men and women experiencing
homelessness.
SALARY RANGE $47,000-$52,000 annually
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITES:
Department Leadership (15%)
Serve as a key member of the Life Skills Team
Commit to and role model C-U at Home’s core values
Assist in the development of guidelines, policies, procedures, and general philosophy of the organization
Assist in developing and implementing health and safety protocols for the Life Skills Team
Shelter Services – Men and Women (80%)
Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the Life Skills Program
Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising Life Skills Team members
Assist the Director in maintaining schedules of Life Skills Team members ensuring all shifts are
appropriately covered
Serve on rotation for on-call emergency support for Life Skills team members
Maintain organization of all data, documents and necessary records and paperwork as related to the Life
Skills Team
Assist clients in attaining their life skills goals as listed on the case plan
Other (5%)
Participate in major events including planning and execution
Participate in community education on homelessness, when needed
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications
Associates Degree in social work, psychology, or related field experience, Bachelors Preferred
Experience with and passion for the homeless population and those with mental illness and/or
substance abuse
1+ years of experience leading a team, scheduling, and coordinating activities
Ability to maintain confidentiality and confidential information
Good judgement and flexibility
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft and Google tools
Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments.
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of experience working with the homeless population
2+ years leading a team
Working knowledge of data collection technology platforms
