Bilingual Outreach Worker (Towson, MD)

Bilingual Outreach Worker needed for our government client in Towson, MD. The Bilingual Outreach Worker will be traveling throughout Baltimore County to perform routine community outreach for health program with the goal of educating the public while increasing enrollment and participation.  Six month contract position with possible extension. The non-negotiable pay rate is $19.00 per hour.

Essential Duties:

• Meet and make presentations to individuals, organizations and community groups to explain, publicize and promote the health program.
  
• Represents the program at health fairs, community events, classes, seminars and other gathers.
  
• Assists with displays.
  
• Assembles and distributes literature, brochures, pamphlets and other related materials.
  
• Promotes program participation by making telephone calls and direct contact in the community.
  
• Develops and maintains resource lists.
  
• Answers telephone inquires regarding the program and provides routine information to the public.
  
• Assists clients submitting applications to the program.
  
• Collects, tabulates, updates and maintain program records and statistics.
  
• Assembles periodic statistical reports.
  

Qualifications:

• Experience working in an outreach or public health environment is required.
  
• Must have own vehicle, good driving record and valid Driver's License.
  
• Must speak fluent English and Spanish.
• Must have good communication skills and be familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  
• Must be able to work from 8:00 am-4:00 pm Monday through Friday with a 30 minute non paid lunch.
