Are you creative, compassionate, and energized by making a difference in people's lives? We're looking for an enthusiastic Activities Assistant to help create meaningful experiences for our residents through engaging activities, special events, and one-on-one interactions.

Schedule

  • 10–15 flexible hours per week
  • Must be available to work Saturdays
  • Opportunity for additional hours in this or other departments


What You'll Do

As an Activities Assistant, you'll help foster a vibrant community by:

  • Leading and participating in individual and group activities
  • Building meaningful connections through one-on-one visits
  • Assisting with games, crafts, music, pet therapy, art programs, and other creative activities
  • Helping plan and decorate for seasonal celebrations, parties, and special events
  • Supporting residents who are unable to attend group activities in their rooms
  • Creating a welcoming, engaging, and person-centered environment
  • Maintaining activity calendars, attendance records, and participation documentation
  • Working collaboratively with residents, families, volunteers, and team members to enhance quality of life

Requirements:

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required.


Licenses/Certification

Certified Recreation Therapist, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or Activity Assistant Certified (NCCAP or state-specific) preferred but not required.


Experience

Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.

Prefer minimum of 500 hours of experience in activity programming in any setting prior to hire. Different combination of education/experience may qualify, depending on state requirements.
