Project Manager (Civil Construction)

Responsible for full project lifecycle ownership, from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality standards. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on financial performance, coordination, and client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from start to closeout
• Align scope, schedule, and budget
• Drive decisions to keep projects progressing
• Manage budgets, forecasts, and cost tracking
• Monitor job costs and margins
• Manage change orders, billing, and cost recovery
• Deliver accurate monthly financial reporting
• Develop project schedules and lead 2-week and 6-week planning
• Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors
• Resolve schedule constraints
• Act as primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders
• Lead meetings and communications
• Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
• Manage contracts and subcontracts
• Review plans and specifications
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, and change processes
• Work closely with superintendents and support field execution and logistics
• Ensure crews have required resources
• Identify and mitigate risks
• Ensure compliance with requirements
• Oversee final billing, punch lists, and closeout documentation

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years project management experience in civil construction, site development, or concrete projects
• Strong expertise in job costing, budgeting, and forecasting
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to read plans and contracts
• Strong leadership and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with construction software such as Procore, HCSS, or similar
• Experience with accounting tools like Sage or equivalent
