Job Description
Duration: 6 months contract with possible extension
12 hours shift
48 hours/week
Position Summary:
The Converter Line Support Technician is responsible for supporting converter line operations through material preparation, splice execution, cleaning activities, low-complexity maintenance, changeover support, and 5S execution. The individual will work as part of the Operating Shift Team and follow the direction, guidance, and coaching of the Team Leader. Tasks assigned during each shift will be coordinated by the Team Leader based on production schedules, skill sets, and staffing levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Preparation and Splice Execution
Prepare materials with splice tape and execute splices on specific unwinders on the converter, including AQL, CC-DL, CSL, TS, CUFF, and BS.
Responsibilities include:
- Order materials.
- Move carts to the correct locations.
- Remove wrapping.
- Prepare materials, including cutting, taping, and disposal of scrap material.
- Interface with HMI for returning material and rejecting material.
- Maintain 5S standards for material carts.
- Thread up splices and execute splice sequences.
- Thread up web during breakout events.
- Cleaning Maintenance, and Changeover Support
Perform cleaning and low-complexity maintenance and changeover tasks to support operational reliability and minimize losses by addressing defects.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform RLS tasks on A1.
- Clean unwinders inside and outside.
- Vacuum and clean splice boxes.
- Clean drive-side areas.
- Clean floors through sweeping and vacuuming.
- Clean glue tanks.
- Change MPs, filters, and idlers.
- Change print rolls, unwinder settings, materials, and related components.
- Perform material clearance activities.

Execute 5S tasks to support line safety, quality GMPs, and operational stability.
Responsibilities include:
- Vacuum external line areas.
- Remove trash.
- Maintain RLS supplies and order supply cabinets.
- Support material cart transitions.
- Ensure layout compliance.
- Clean and organize external work areas, including computer desks.
- Clean and organize Print Roll A1 tables.
- Clean and organize chemical cabinets.
- Clean and organize cabinets and toolboxes.
- Fill glue tanks as required.
Safety Requirements:
- Must be safety trained and qualified to work in production areas.
- Must follow all HSE standards and site safety requirements.
- Training Requirements
- Must be trained on assigned tasks.
- Shall not be assigned to the line without proper training.
Work Environment:
- Work will be performed in PSC Diapers Converter Lines.
- The employee will be part of the Operating Shift Team.
- Must follow Team Leader direction, guidance, and coaching.
Work Schedule
- Assigned lines will follow the current rotation schedule standards
- 12-hour shifts in a 24/7 operation
- Assigned to one of four teams depending on line assignment.
- Breaks and lunch periods will follow the Standard Blue Book break pattern, including a 30-minute lunch.
