## About the Role
Are you an experienced automotive Service Writer looking to take the next step into management? We are seeking an organized, high-energy Assistant Service Manager to help lead our shop floor and front-counter operations.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between our customers and our garage, supervising a small, dedicated team to ensure quality repairs, high efficiency, and top-tier customer satisfaction.

- Days: Monday through Thursday
- Hours: 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Lunch: 1-hour paid lunch break daily
- Fridays, Saturdays, & Sundays: Always OFF
## Compensation & Bonuses
- Base Salary: $48,000 to $56,000 per year (depending on experience).
- Performance Bonus: Earn additional monthly/quarterly bonuses tied to team productivity, customer satisfaction, and shop performance goals. Your hard work directly impacts your paycheck!
## Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Directly supervise and support 1 Lead Technician and up to 3 General Service Technicians. Oversee 1 Service Writer / Customer Service Advocate.
- Workflow Management: Assist the Service Manager in scheduling, dispatching work orders, and ensuring the shop floor runs efficiently.
- Customer Excellence: Step in to assist with customer consultations, service writing, and dispute resolution when needed.
- Quality Control: Ensure all safety protocols are followed and that repair quality meets our shop’s high standards.
## Position Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of prior experience as an automotive Service Writer / Service Advisor is required.
- Credentials: Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required for moving client vehicles when necessary).
- Certifications: Must possess or be actively willing to obtain ASE Certification (Automotive Service Excellence). We highly value continuous learning and professional development!
- Leadership: Prior management, assistant management, or lead experience is a strong plus.
- Skills: Excellent communication, multitasking abilities, and a solid understanding of automotive repair workflows.
