Part-Time Catholic Lead KindergartenTeacher
Location: St. John Bosco Academy North Campus
4888 Browns Bridge Road Cumming, GA 30041
Schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays (On-Campus)
Start Date: August 3, 2026 through May 26, 2026 Schedule: 8:00am-2:00pm
Position Overview: We are seeking a warm, engaging, and joyful Part-Time Lead Kindergarten Teacher who is a practicing Catholic and passionate about teaching and living the Faith. The teacher will lead on-campus classroom instruction two days per week, following school directed lesson plans and curriculum that support a classical education framework. A teacher assistant will be available to provide classroom support.
This teacher will also collaborate closely with a kindergarten counterpart at the Shiloh campus to ensure consistent pacing, content delivery, and alignment across both classrooms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead kindergarten students in a structured, joyful, and faith-filled classroom environment
- Implement, teach and use school-provided curriculum and archived lesson plans
- Collaborate with a fellow kindergarten teacher to maintain consistency in lesson pacing and content
- Partner with parents in a hybrid model to support at-home learning days
- Integrate Catholic teachings and values into all aspects of the classroom
- Foster a love for learning and awe through classical educational methods
- Communicate clearly with families, staff, and administrators
- Work effectively with the teacher assistant for classroom support
- Assess the student’s character formation progress each semester.
- Assess the student's milestone academic development progress
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required (Early Childhood or Elementary Education preferred)
Minimum 2 years of classroom teaching experience with early elementary students
Practicing Catholic who joyfully lives out the Faith and adheres to Church teachings
Familiarity with classical education philosophy is a plus, but not required.
Warm, kind, and energetic presence with strong classroom management skills
Team-oriented and eager to collaborate with fellow educators
Kind, patient, joyful, and dependable.
Compensation: Competitive part-time pay commensurate with experience. The position is for a 10-month period (August through May) with 2 federal holidays and six weeks off for: Thanksgiving (1 week), Christmas (3 weeks), Holy Week and Spring Break (2 weeks).
