Laborer - Underground Electric

Summary/Objective:

The Laborer - Underground Electric supports underground electric crews by assisting with conduit installation, trench work, material handling, wire pulling, and general jobsite tasks. This position requires underground electric experience and the ability to work safely as part of a field crew.

Essential Functions:

·       Assist with underground electric construction, including trench preparation, conduit installation, backfilling, and cleanup.

·       Load, unload, stage, and organize materials, tools, conduit, wire, and jobsite supplies.

·       Support wire pulling, primary/secondary installations, and installation of vaults, handholes, boxes, and related components.

·       Perform hand digging, spotting, grading, compaction, and other manual labor tasks as directed.

·       Operate hand tools, power tools, and small equipment safely and properly.

·       Follow company safety procedures, excavation safety requirements, and instructions from foremen and supervisors.

Qualifications

·       Previous underground electric construction experience required.

·       Experience with wire pulling and primary/secondary underground electric work preferred.

·       Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor construction environments.

·       Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and small equipment safely.

·       Basic understanding of trench safety, excavation safety, and jobsite hazards.

·       Must be dependable, safety-minded, and able to work effectively as part of a crew.
