Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and hard-working, multi-tasking Cashier to join our busy bakery in Folsom! As a Cashier, you will ring up sales, take payments, issue receipts, make & serve drinks and coffee. You will provide excellent customer service by ensuring all transactions run smoothly. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a bakery, cafe or retail restaurant, with demonstrable customer service and knowledge of cash register operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet each customer with a smile and actively assist while they are shopping
- Work the register to ring up sales and complete transactions
- Collect payments by cash and credit card
- Issue receipts and refunds to customers
- Maintain and assist with other duties to help the team and store manager
- Help to clean and prepare the store for the next business day
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to read, count, write, and communicate clearly and effectively
- Understanding of sales techniques and best practices in customer service
- Willingness to work well in a fast and busy, team environment
- Ability to quickly and accurately work a register
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule
- Able to learn and complement your cashier skills in other areas like prepping, short-hand cook, bussing, sandwich maker, etc.
