Caregivers must be comfortable assisting with mobility support and safe transfers, including helping clients move from bed to chair, toilet, walker, or wheelchair while following proper safety techniques to reduce the risk of falls and injury.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care needs, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
  • Provide medication reminders according to the client’s care plan
  • Support mobility and assist with safe transfers using proper body mechanics and transfer techniques
  • Monitor client safety and help prevent falls, accidents, and other hazards within the home
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Assist with meal preparation and light housekeeping
  • Encourage hydration and healthy daily routines
  • Observe and report changes in a client’s condition to the office
  • Complete required documentation and maintain client confidentiality
  • Travel locally to client homes within the community

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of professional caregiving, PCA, HHA, CNA, or related experience
  • Ability to safely assist clients with transfers and mobility needs
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to pass background screening and reference checks
  • Dependable, compassionate, and professional demeanor

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working with seniors, disabled adults, or individuals with dementia
  • Basic healthcare and safety knowledge
  • Familiarity with personal care techniques and fall prevention practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated empathy, patience, and compassion
