THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN West Sacramento, CA.
SUMMARY
To provide project management expertise for all generator projects generated by both the Stockton and Sacramento Branches.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read and understand complex bid documents and be able to ascertain proper equipment to meet specifications.
- Negotiate with contractor/end user/engineer to maximize value proposition for all transactional parties.
- Prepare/modify CAD/CAM electrical and mechanical drawings for gensets, engines, and associated accessories
- Manage submittals, material acquisition and project management duties for the sales department.
- Occasional travel to jobsites, engineering consultants, and end users as a value added engineering resource and to facilitate contract process.
- Report to sales management results of project cost management.
- Works with sales coordinators and salespeople in processing paperwork on sales transactions.
- Integrate with Caterpillar engineering, CSQ, and TMI for engineering assistance
- Project Manage Power Division Generator projects, from small single engine sales to large complex multi engine (genset) packages
- Coordinate with salespeople, the service shop, contractors and engineers to ensure timely and profitable completion of projects on time.
- Effectively communicate with all parties involved and report to pertinent sales personnel and management progress.
- Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (B.S.E.) or equivalent from a four year college or technical school; or 5 years of experience in AES projects and New Generator Start-ups for a Power Systems Distributor.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, as well as basic electrical and mechanical engineering principals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have a valid California driver’s license and a clean DMV driving report.

COMPENSATION
Pay Range: $90,000 to $105,000 Annually
Pay Range Dependent on Knowledge, Skills, and Ability to perform the responsibilities of the job.
