Taylor Life Center (TLC) is seeking a passionate and devoted LMSW, LPC, or LMFT licensed in the state of Michigan. TLC's Assistant Program Director is responsible for the following roles and responsibilities:
Roles & Responsibilities
- Must ensure all standards, within the program guidelines, are met. This includes the development and implementation of the department’s policy and procedures and goals and objectives in conjunction of the business needs and the standards of CARF, MDHHS, CMH, etc.
- Supervision of clinical supervisors, lead clinicians, hospital liaison, and all other personnel assigned
- Conduct interviews for clinical staff.
- Communicate areas of accountability and performance expected of personnel assigned.
- Determine standards of performance as a basis to review progress of personnel assigned; includes recommendations of salary adjustments, transfers, progressive discipline, promotions, and dismissals.
- Collaborate with training department and clinical supervisors to develop curriculum and trainings for clinical staff.
- Assist Human Resources to ensure all staff are up to date with CMH and corporate training and assist with acquiring all required employment documentation, which could include vital credentialing paperwork.
- Coordinate administrative activities of departments related to providing services, improving productivity, and increasing efficiencies by reviewing management reports or other performance data to measure goal achievement.
- Address known performance concerns of clinicians with Program Director and prepare an appropriate action plan to facilitate improvement and/or suggest alternative course of action.
- Actively participate and/or facilitate in personnel, supervisory, provider, community, and contract meetings as needed.
- Provide clinical oversight of program operations, including implementation of evidence-based practices and crisis intervention techniques.
- Coordinate activities related to interdepartmental coordination of care.
- Actively participate in the Quality Improvement Process and implementation of TLC/CSI Strategic Plan.
- Projects a favorable image of the company to promote and enhance public recognition and acceptance of all its areas of endeavor.
Qualification & Education Requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Possess a valid Michigan driver’s license
- Possess valid automobile insurance
- Pass all regulatory checks
- Possess at a minimum a master’s degree
- Must meet MDHHS qualifications as a Child Mental Health Professional (CMHP), Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP), and Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP).
- Must be licensed by the state of Michigan with an LMSW, LPC, or LMFT
- Must maintain required training for credentialing for both privileges and third party insurances
- Ability to acknowledge diagnoses per symptomatology and/or DSM 5
