Parts Counter Salesperson

Parts Department Counter Sales Associate – Wilmington, NC

Full-Time Position

Primary Functions

· Assist Customers and technicians with parts lookup, ordering parts, and returning parts.

· Record reliable notes of parts transactions for future reference.

· Safely perform warehouse functions with the use of hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts.

· Daily duties will include but are not limited to unloading, put-away, sorting, labeling, picking, packing, replenishing, auditing, shipping,

· Product quality inspection and staging

· Perform other duties assigned.

· Keeps working area clean and professional.

· Maintains a professional appearance.

Qualifications and Skills

• Highly Dependable individual demonstrating key values including teamwork, integrity, honesty, and accountability.

Mechanical or parts aptitude.

• Must be able to tolerate a warehouse environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, and work around moving equipment.

• Ability to operate equipment in a safe and controlled manner, i.e., hand truck, pallet jack, and forklift.

• Ability to lift 50-75lbs

• Ability to follow directions, both verbal and written in English

• Ability to perform basic math

• Ability to be trained on business software products which are an essential tool in this position.

• Must be familiar with Microsoft office programs

· Parts background a plus.

Education

• High school diploma and one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Heavy duty and or AG parts experience preferred but any parts experience will be acceptable.
