Job Description
The Vice President of Finance and Administration (VPFA) for this not-for-profit organization is a senior executive leader who partners with the President and CEO to oversee and manage the organization's fiscal and support services. The VPFA is responsible for the strategic leadership of financial management, business operations, human resources, information technology, facilities, risk management, and real estate development, ensuring long-term financial sustainability and operational excellence in alignment with the mission and strategic goals. This role requires a hands-on leader committed to mentoring a dedicated team and fostering an inclusive, diverse, and community-focused environment, especially addressing issues impacting BIPOC communities.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic oversight of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Lead integration of business operations, human resources, IT, facilities, risk management, and real estate development functions.
- Collaborate closely with the President & CEO and Board of Directors to align financial and operational strategies with organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Drive long-term financial sustainability and operational excellence throughout the organization.
- Mentor and lead a high-performing team in a fast-paced, inclusive environment.
- Champion initiatives focused on community engagement and equity, especially for BIPOC communities.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of broad finance experience, with at least 7 years in senior financial leadership in a non-profit setting.
- Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited university.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation strongly preferred.
