St. John XXIII College Preparatory is an independent, co-educational, Catholic high school, located in the

greater Houston suburb of Katy, Texas. Founded in 2001, our mission rests on Four Pillars which reflect

the papacy of our patron, Pope St. John XXIII. This is accomplished by forming students into men and

women of character, equipping them to be successful in this life through rigorous academic study, and by

fostering a love for Christ with an identity rooted in Him.

Applications are being accepted for the entry-level position of Communications Coordinator,

beginning August 1, 2026.

Working at St. John XXIII College Preparatory requires living a prayerful, Christ-entered life as an

example to our community, a commitment to the mission of the school, and an enthusiasm for

contributing to its co-curricular programs.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting and living out the values of the Gospel as proclaimed and taught by the Roman

Catholic Church.

• Maintaining a positive and engaging presence in support of all school programs.

• Assemble and manage content for the school newsletter and school website.

• Plan and post content on social media platforms and monitor engagement.

• Ensure consistent branding across all media platforms and communications.

• Ensure postings, updates, releases, etc., are executed on established distribution schedules.

• Coverage of the full range of school activities and events over the course of the academic year.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in communications, business or related field.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and smart technologies.

• Proficiency in the use of social media platforms.

• Possession of strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 40 pounds, using proper lifting techniques.

• Ability to sit, stand, and/or move around the campus as needed for extended periods of time.

• Ability to climb bleachers or ladders.

• Ability to use a keyboard (or an alternative input device) and other office equipment.

• Ability to read information, both in printed material and on a digital screen, often for extended

periods of time.

General Information

• This position is classified as – Regular Full-Time.

• This position is eligible for employee benefits Package.
