Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and hardworking Warehouse Associate to join our team. This position plays a critical role in supporting daily warehouse operations, maintaining inventory accuracy, assisting our sales counter team, and ensuring excellent service for our customers.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role requires physical activity, including standing for extended periods, lifting materials, and operating warehouse equipment. Candidates must also possess a valid driver's license and be capable of making deliveries to customer job sites using company vehicles when needed.
Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, inspect, and verify incoming shipments
- Accurately stock inventory in designated warehouse and bin locations
- Pull, stage, and prepare customer orders for pickup or delivery
- Assist counter sales staff with locating and fulfilling customer orders
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organization, and safety standards
- Perform inventory counts and assist with inventory control procedures
- Learn and utilize the company's POS and inventory management systems
- Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damaged products, or stock shortages
- Safely operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Deliver products to customer job sites using company vehicles as needed
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Provide professional and courteous service to customers, vendors, and coworkers
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED preferred
- Previous warehouse, distribution, construction supply, or plumbing industry experience preferred but not required
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Forklift certification or experience preferred (training available)
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn POS and inventory management software
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to inventory accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn plumbing, HVAC, and industrial product lines
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday
- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift heavier materials with assistance or equipment
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and company vehicles
- Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions
