Equipment Operator/Forklift, Skid Steer - Commercial Construction

We are hiring for a Forklift Operator for a commercial construction site.

We are seeking a dependable, safety-focused Forklift Operator/labor for a short-term assignment in Sterling, VA. This position supports daily construction site operations with a strong focus on material handling, forklift operation, and general labor duties.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and skid steer and other material-handling equipment
• Move, load, unload, and stage gravel pallets and other construction materials
• Perform general labor tasks including site cleanup, debris removal, and material organization
• Conduct routine equipment inspections and report safety or maintenance concerns
• Follow all OSHA and company safety policies
• Assist skilled trades as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and crew members

Qualifications

• Valid forklift or skid stir certification
• Prior construction or general labor experience preferred
• Ability to operate forklifts in active and tight job site environments
• Strong understanding of construction site safety
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
