Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to join our established general engineering construction company. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position. The ideal candidate has extensive experience operating bulldozers, front loaders, and excavators with precision and efficiency. You will play a key role in site prep, grading, excavation, and material handling for commercial and residential projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate heavy machinery including bulldozers, front loaders, and excavators.
- Perform daily equipment inspections, routine maintenance, and minor repairs.
- Read and interpret grade stakes, blueprints, and project plans.
- Execute precise rough and finish grading, trenching, backfilling, and slope finishing.
- Follow all OSHA and site-specific safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, grade checkers, and ground crews.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of verifiable experience operating heavy equipment (Dozer, Loader, Excavator).
- Valid OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Construction certification preferred.
- Clean driving record with a valid Class A or B CDL preferred.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to assist Laborers as needed.
