Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our busy Family Practice team. The ideal candidate will be professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing exceptional patient care. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building relationships with patients while supporting providers in delivering high-quality healthcare.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for examinations, including obtaining medical histories and vital signs
  • Room patients and assist providers with patient care needs
  • Perform clinical duties including injections, EKGs, specimen collection, and other procedures as assigned
  • Update and maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Assist physicians and providers during exams and procedures
  • Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions
  • Coordinate referrals, lab orders, and diagnostic testing
  • Complete medication reconciliation and review patient information
  • Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and healthcare team members
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA, safety standards, and office policies
  • Assist with maintaining an organized and efficient clinical environment

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1+ year of recent Medical Assistant experience (Family Practice or Primary Care preferred)
  • Medical Assistant diploma, transcripts or state certification
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or willing to obtain. 
  • Experience working with EMR systemsStrong knowledge of clinical procedures and medical terminology
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced medical office setting
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
