As the Northeast’s leading cabinetry manufacturer with over 40 years of excellence, we pride ourselves on in-house manufacturing, state-of-the-art facilities, and a collaborative team environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Expert Design & Planning: Transform kitchens and bathrooms into stunning, functional spaces by creating detailed floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings.
- Client Consultation: Lead initial consultations at our showroom to understand client needs, preferences, and budgets, guiding them through our product offerings and finishes.
- Project Leadership: Manage high-profile residential projects from initial conception to final delivery, ensuring all designs maximize functionality and flow.
- Technical Excellence: Utilize design software (such as 2020 Design) to produce accurate layouts, incorporating appliance specifications and ensuring adherence to building and safety codes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with homeowners, contractors, architects, and internal manufacturing teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Mentorship: Provide guidance and feedback to junior design team members to maintain high quality across all showroom projects.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience: Minimum of 2+ years (5+ years preferred for Senior level) in kitchen/bath design, architecture, or working with a design/build firm.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of design principles and layouts; proficiency in 20/20 Design or similar CAD software is highly preferred.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex design concepts clearly to clients and industry professionals.
- Education: A degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field is typically required.
Why Join Metropolitan?
- Schedule: Enjoy a Monday–Friday work week—we are closed on Saturdays and Sundays.
- In-House Manufacturing: We are our own manufacturer, allowing for high craftsmanship and competitive pricing.
- Comprehensive Benefits: We offer competitive pay, 401(k) with matching, health/dental/vision insurance, and paid time off.
- Environment: Work in a state-of-the-art facility alongside a passionate team of over 200 employees.
