Tig Welder

Position: TIG Welder
Pay Rate: $19.00/hourly
Location: Stockton, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM–2:30 PM

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our team. This role is responsible for fabricating, repairing, and joining metal components using TIG welding techniques while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate has experience reading blueprints, operating welding equipment, and producing precise, high-quality welds in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform TIG welding on metal components according to specifications and quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, welding symbols, and technical drawings.
• Measure, cut, fit, and prepare materials for welding and fabrication projects.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure accuracy, strength, and compliance with quality requirements.
• Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment, tools, and related machinery.
• Repair, modify, and fabricate metal parts, structures, and equipment as needed.
• Follow OSHA regulations, company safety procedures, and proper PPE requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Collaborate with supervisors, fabricators, and team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous TIG welding experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or fabrication environment required.
• Strong understanding of welding processes, metals, and joint configurations.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols.
• Proficiency with measuring tools and fabrication equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Basic math and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• AWS or equivalent welding certifications preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in various positions throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed.
• Comfortable working in environments with heat, sparks, fumes, and loud noise.
• Ability to work safely while wearing required PPE.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing, fabrication, and industrial shop environments.
• Exposure to welding equipment, heat, sparks, fumes, and machinery.
• Fast-paced production setting focused on quality, safety, and efficiency.
