Journeyman Electrician

People Source is seeking an experienced Journeyman Electrician License to lead electrical retrofit and maintenance at a chemical plant project in Cleburne, Texas. The ideal candidate will have strong industrial electrical experience, the ability to supervise and coordinate a helper and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety and quality

Responsibilities

• Must have ability to work on controls.
• Plan daily work activities and coordinate manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, P&IDs, and specifications.
• Conduct daily safety meetings and enforce safe work practices.
• Complete daily reports, timekeeping, and project documentation.
• Perform quality inspections to ensure installations meet project requirements.

Install, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial electrical systems, including:

• Conduit systems (EMT, Rigid, PVC-coated, and Stainless Steel)
• Cable tray systems
• Motor controls and MCCs
• Switchgear and distribution equipment
• Instrumentation and control wiring
• Lighting and power systems

Qualifications

• Current Journeyman Electrician License required.
• Minimum 4 years of industrial electrical experience.
• Experience working in chemical plants, refineries, petrochemical facilities, or heavy industrial environments.
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical prints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Knowledge of NEC and industrial electrical codes.

Requirements

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening and drug test.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and shutdown schedules as needed.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in industrial environments, including climbing ladders, working at heights, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
