About this job
Job Description
Multi-Unit Restaurant Supervisor / Area Supervisor (McDonald's System)
Location: Rochester / Monroe County, NY (Supporting multiple regional locations)
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Compensation Structure: $70,000 – $85,000 / year Base Salary
Additional Earnings: Robust, performance-based variable earnings tied directly to operational metrics and measurable business results.
About the Opportunity
The Organization is actively seeking an experienced, high-stamina Multi-Unit Restaurant Supervisor to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across our assigned locations in the Rochester and Monroe County market.
Our organization follows a distinct compensation philosophy driven by owner-operator Rod Miller: we intentionally structure our compensation to place a greater emphasis on performance-based earnings rather than simply maximizing a fixed salary. We want true business owners—not passive coordinators. If you are an ambitious operator motivated by accountability, driving measurable improvements, and taking complete operational ownership of a multi-million-dollar restaurant portfolio, this role offers an elite runway for your career and earning potential.
The Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for proven multi-unit leaders who can clearly articulate past success in the following areas:
- P&L Ownership: Absolute fluency in reading financial statements and translating data into actionable floor adjustments.
- Cost Controls: A documented track record of managing tight labor metrics and optimizing food cost margins.
- Bench Building: A passion for talent development, recruitment, and building strong internal management pipelines to reduce employee turnover.
- The "Lead from the Front" Mentality: An operator who thrives during high-volume periods and understands that early on, you may need to step into the trenches alongside your teams to guide them to success.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence & Performance Metrics
- Support restaurant teams in the relentless execution of strict QSC&V (Quality, Service, Cleanliness, and Value) standards.
- Monitor multi-unit operational performance metrics to proactively identify, isolate, and correct gaps in profitability or service.
- Ensure absolute compliance with all local food safety regulations, company policies, and health standards across all assigned locations.
- Provide strategic, hands-on leadership support during operational challenges and peak high-volume slots.
People Leadership & Bench Development
- Actively coach, mentor, and develop General Managers and restaurant leadership teams to elevate their operational capabilities and floor presence.
- Oversee workforce planning strategies, including hiring, structured training programs, and leadership development across the organization.
- Foster a high-performance, respectful, and accountable store culture centered around positive employee relations and retention.
Financial Command & Business Growth
- Directly support restaurants in meeting or exceeding top-line sales growth initiatives, profitability targets, and controllable cost expectations.
- Manage operational budgets and dynamically adjust staffing guidelines to protect gross profit margins without sacrificing the guest experience.
Qualifications for Success
- Proven Experience: Multi-unit restaurant management experience (Supervisor, Area Manager, or District Manager) within a high-volume quick-service restaurant (QSR) or fast-food environment is highly preferred.
- McDonald's Ecosystem Match: Direct previous McDonald's multi-unit experience and Hamburger University (HU) certification is a massive plus.
- Financial & Technical Acumen: Deep understanding of P&L metrics, labor tracking software, inventory forecasting, and cost control principles.
- Logistical Flexibility: Reliable transportation and a willingness to travel regularly between multiple restaurant locations within Monroe County as a routine part of the role.
- Professional Integrity: Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding proprietary operational procedures, employee records, and corporate financial data.
Additional Information
- Employment Status: At-Will Employment relationship.
- Hiring Process: Background checks, past employment verification, and reference checks will be conducted as part of the formal onboarding process.
