Duties

• Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on residential HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and building automation systems.
• Install new HVAC systems and mechanical components following schematics and HVAC design specifications to ensure proper operation and compliance.
• Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to maximize efficiency and longevity, including cleaning, calibrating, and replacing worn parts.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems using tools like ohmmeters and perform electrical diagnostics to identify faults accurately.
• Repair plumbing components related to HVAC systems such as condensate drains or refrigerant lines while adhering to safety standards.
• Utilize hand tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools effectively during service calls.
• Communicate clearly with customers about system issues, repair procedures, and maintenance tips to enhance customer satisfaction and trust.

Requirements

• Proven 2+ years experience as a service technician with a construction or property maintenance background preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC system repair, installation, and maintenance practices; familiarity with schematics and HVAC design is essential.
• Mechanical knowledge across various systems including refrigeration, boilers, electrical systems, and building automation systems.
• Familiarity with ServiceTitan Mobile App a PLUS!
• Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately for troubleshooting and installation purposes.
• Experience with equipment troubleshooting using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters or specialized HVAC testing devices.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate a driver vehicle safely at all times.
• EPA certification or equivalent refrigerant handling license required for refrigerant-related work.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
• Hands-on experience with appliance repair, welding, electrical diagnostics, plumbing, or mechanical systems repair is highly valued.
• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy equipment, working in confined spaces or at heights.
