Shipping and Receiving Clerk

We are looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team! Here you will be responsible for any combination of the following for shipping and receiving: lines and pads crates; assembles cartons; fabricates and sorts product; counts, weighs and/or verifies product to be packaged; applies protective wrap; stamps, stencils or attaches identifying information and shipping instructions on containers; posts weight and shipping charges; verifies identification and count of material to be shipped.

Responsibilities for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk:

• Performs varied shipping operations involving the form up, gluing and/or strapping of paperboard boxes.
• Receives, unloads, checks, sorts, tags, stores expedites paperwork and performs other clerical functions for materials and tools received from vendors, freight and express transport companies and other delivery agencies.
• Works from receiving reports, freight bills, packing slips and purchase orders.
• Maintains required records such as UPS logs and takes daily inventory as well as month-end count of finished goods.
• Performs all other functions as assigned or required.

Qualifications for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk:

• Ability to read, write and interpret verbal and written instructions including numerals.
• Three or more years of directly related experience in the areas of shipping, packaging, routing and material handling, and Company documentation related to the shipping area.
• Ability to guide and assist shipping clerks and material handlers.
• Must wear steel toed shoes.
• Must be forklift certified and re-certified annually.
