Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to support a 24/7 production laboratory. This role is responsible for performing analytical testing, quality control activities, equipment calibrations, and routine laboratory operations to ensure products meet customer, quality, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy, safety, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Perform analytical and physical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, finished products, cleanout samples, and quality control checks according to established procedures.
- Collect, label, prepare, and store retain samples in accordance with customer specifications and internal requirements.
- Review test results and release products that meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Communicate testing results and quality-related information to laboratory personnel, production teams, and supervisors.
- Conduct routine calibrations of laboratory equipment, including titrators, viscometers, scales, and other analytical instruments.
- Prepare reagent standards, solutions, and testing materials required for daily laboratory operations.
- Perform instrument verifications, equipment cleanouts, and specialized analyses as needed.
- Support water treatment operations through sampling, testing, and routine system monitoring.
- Accurately document testing activities, calibration records, and shift information in laboratory logs.
- Manage laboratory inventory by monitoring consumables and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Maintain organized sample retain storage and ensure proper documentation and traceability.
- Follow all laboratory safety procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Properly handle and dispose of laboratory waste in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment.
- Collaborate closely with production and quality teams to meet operational priorities and testing deadlines.
- Adapt to varying customer testing requirements while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Laboratory Science, or a related scientific field preferred.
- Laboratory, quality control, or manufacturing testing experience.
- Basic knowledge of chemistry principles, including wet chemistry techniques and titrations.
- Experience performing analytical testing and documenting laboratory results.
- Familiarity with quality systems, GMPs, and quality control practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills, including basic algebra.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to safely handle chemicals and hazardous materials.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a manufacturing laboratory setting.
- Experience with High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC).
- Experience operating titrators, viscometers, moisture analysis equipment, and particle analysis instruments such as Malvern systems.
- Experience in analytical chemistry or quality-focused manufacturing laboratories.
- Experience working with multiple customer specifications and testing protocols.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production support activities.
- Experience in a tiered laboratory environment with opportunities for advancement.
This position is based in a laboratory within a manufacturing facility and supports a continuous 24/7 operation. Employees work a rotating 2-2-3 schedule consisting of 12-hour shifts (6:00 AM–6:00 PM and 6:00 PM–6:00 AM), rotating between days and nights approximately every two weeks. The role requires flexibility to support overtime, shift coverage, and occasional schedule adjustments based on operational needs.
The position involves working with laboratory equipment, chemicals, and production systems while adhering to strict safety requirements and PPE standards. Success in this role requires reliability, adaptability, and the ability to perform accurately in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.50 - $21.50/hr.
