Job Description
Status: Full-Time temp-Hire after 90 days
Pay: $23-$28 hr depending on yrs of experience
Schedule: Mon-Fri day shift 6am-4:20pm or 4:15pm-2:00am
. As a CNC Machine Operator, you will play a critical role in executing that mission. You will operate and maintain CNC machines to produce metal parts to exacting tolerances, ensuring Mach-Nine’s reputation for accuracy, reliability, and speed remains unmatched.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically savvy, quality-driven, and assertive in maintaining production flow and equipment care.
Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation & ProductionSet Up & Operate: Set up, program (if applicable), operate, and monitor CNC milling, turning, or multi-axis machines according to job instructions, blueprints,
Material Handling: Load appropriate tools, fixtures, jigs, and raw materials for each job.
Process Optimization: Adjust machine parameters to maintain dimensional accuracy, consistency, and efficiency.
Production Goals: Run parts to meet cycle times, maintain quotas,
Escalation: Immediately report deviations, raw material issues, tool wear, machine malfunctions, or safety risks to the Shop Supervisor.
Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and machining documentation
Precision Measurement: Use micrometers, calipers, height gauges, profiles, indicators, and other precision instruments to inspect first-piece, in-process, and finished parts.
Documentation: Document inspection results, track scrap or rework, and input data
Defect Management: Identify non-conforming parts and follow containment and corrective-action protocols.
Machine Care: Clean machines, check coolant levels, lubricate moving parts, and replace worn tools/fixtures in line with maintenance schedule.
Tooling: Monitor tool life and notify management when sharpening or replacement is required.
5S Compliance: Maintain an organized, 5S-compliant workstation; keep tools, fixtures, and consumables in order.
Troubleshooting: Assist with troubleshooting smaller issues; escalate to maintenance or programming functions when needed.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience operating CNC machines (mills, lathes, or multi-axis preferred) in a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T.
Proficiency using precision measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, indicators).
Experience with CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, Mazak) or a strong willingness to learn.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and work on your feet in a production-floor environment.
Reliable attendance, punctuality, and the ability to work assigned shifts (including potential overtime
Formal technical training or certifications in machining, manufacturing technology, or CNC operation.
Experience setting up jobs from scratch or operating advanced multi-axis machines.
Familiarity with aerospace, automotive, or medical device manufacturing quality standards.
