Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary students with diverse learning needs during the 2026-2027 academic year. In this full-time role, you’ll engage with kindergarten through 5th grade students in a resource classroom setting. Your expertise will enable you to provide targeted support and individualized instruction, helping approximately 20 students achieve their educational goals by offering pull-out and direct instruction services.
Qualifications:
- Valid Oklahoma Special Education Teaching Certification
- Mild to Moderate Special Education endorsement
- Demonstrated experience or training in providing resource support for elementary-aged students
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills when working with students, staff, and families
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and encouraging classroom environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and intervention strategies for students with mild to moderate learning differences
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers and related service providers to ensure optimal learning opportunities for all students
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting instructional strategies as required
- Maintain positive relationships with families, providing regular updates and resources as needed
- Participate fully in team meetings, professional development, and student support planning
