Step into a rewarding role for the 2026-2027 academic year making a significant difference as a Special Education Teacher, supporting students with diverse needs. This contract position is perfect for compassionate educators who thrive in self-contained classroom environments and want to influence the lives of students with cognitive, emotional, and autism spectrum disorders.
Multiple opportunities are open to work directly with:

- One combined middle and high school ASD self-contained classroom, fostering growth for older students with developmental challenges.
- One Cognitive Impairments classroom, guiding students through tailored instruction and behavioral supports.
Key qualifications:
- Active Special Education Teaching License (substitute certifications are not accepted).
- For high school Autism, a bachelor’s degree with endorsement in autism spectrum disorder or special education. Willingness to enroll in additional classes for endorsement if needed.
- Valid state-certified special education credential at start of assignment.
- Required certification in Emotional Impairment or Autism endorsement.
- Experience or strong interest in supporting students with mild to severe behavioral and developmental needs.
- Ability to work independently—there will be no district-provided supervision (such as paraeducators, RBTs, CNAs, or LPNs).
- Flexible for in-person and virtual interviews.
What you can expect:
- Collaborative and supportive administration with a willingness to help candidates pursue emergency certifications as there is ample time prior to the school year.
- Structured, self-contained classrooms with meaningful curriculum and significant daily impact.
- Comprehensive benefits including health, vision, dental coverage, and 401k.
