Why Work Here?
You join a stable, year-round operation that does not lay off employees during the winter, offering consistent work and income. The organization plans ahead for future projects, which helps ensure steady workloads even between major orders. The company operates as a long-established, family-owned business where people are treated with respect and many employees have built careers of 25 years or more, reflecting strong loyalty and a supportive culture. You will work with a major supplier of construction materials in the region, gaining exposure to diverse, large-scale infrastructure and building projects while developing valuable, transferable skills in concrete and structural production.
Work Environment
This position is based in a precast concrete facility with an open-ended building that allows some airflow but is not climate controlled. Temperatures can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter, and kilns operating on one end of the building can increase heat depending on the project. Typical hours are Monday through Friday starting at 5:30 a.m. and ending when the job is finished, usually around 2:00–2:30 p.m., with some days extending to about 5:00 p.m. Overtime on Saturdays may be required as needed, and the early start helps avoid peak daytime heat. You will work within a structural division of about 65 people, in crews of approximately 8–12, each with a designated lead. The dress code includes steel-toe footwear, jeans, and short-sleeve shirts; safety glasses, hard hats, and hearing protection are provided as needed. On the first day, new hires typically begin on a Tuesday at 7:00 a.m. with a 2.5–3 hour safety orientation, followed by a facility tour and assignment to a crew after a brief introduction to timekeeping and procedures
