Job Title: Purchasing Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate and timely entry of purchase orders and adhering to standard work procedures. We are currently undergoing an ERP implementation and have a backlog of purchase orders that require diligent attention.
Responsibilities
- Enter purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
- Follow standard work procedures and guidelines.
- Utilize Excel and Outlook for data entry and communication.
- Communicate effectively via phone and email.
- Serve as a subject matter expert by resolving complex purchasing inquiries and escalations
- Provide training, coaching, and ongoing development to team members as needed
- Assist with the implementation of new purchasing software, including user adoption and process integration
Essential Skills
- 5-8 years of purchasing/buying experience.
- ERP experience (D365 preferred).
- Strong communication skills for interacting with internal and external customers.
- Ability to hold individuals accountable and ensure adherence to processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with large purchase orders and manual entry.
Work Environment
This fully onsite role operates from 8 AM to 5 PM with some flexibility available. The dress code is business casual, and closed-toe shoes are required, with steel toe shoes needed when accessing the manufacturing floor. This is a 6-month contract position with potential for growth as the company anticipates tripling in size over the next 5-10 years. Bonus potential is available twice a year, and merit reviews leading to pay increases take effect in July.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $31.00/hr.
