Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key qualifications and experience:
- Valid teaching certificate with Special Education endorsement (state-specific requirements apply)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students, especially in inclusive or co-teaching environments
- Strong communication skills and collaborative approach to team-teaching and interacting with families
- Flexibility, empathy, and creative problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to supporting diverse learners and adapting instruction to individual needs
Primary responsibilities:
- Co-teach in an inclusion classroom, partnering closely with general education teachers to provide differentiated instruction and support
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student requirements
- Foster an uplifting and positive learning atmosphere, encouraging social, emotional, and academic development
- Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with staff and families
- Actively participate in professional development, staff meetings, and training as provided by the district
- Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive school community dedicated to student achievement
